hi! i've just started drawing recently and all my drawings are not in proportion, the head's always bigger than the body and stuff, do you have any tips? i feel so losery for using guideline :(
hi anon! um i often encounter that problem too, so don’t feel like a loser hahaha. usually i get that problem when i draw the head in detail first THEN draw out the body, because halfway through i don’t really know what i’m doing. i find that drawing an action line first helps me figure out the pose i want. i start with the torso and then the head, arms, etc. that way it helps me see the size of the head in relation to the other parts of the body. it’s kind of a process but it helps me, at least.
sorry if it’s a bit wordy, i hope this answered your question!! you should also study up on proportions, there are many tutorials floating around on the internet! keep practicing :)
